WHAT WE DO

The York County Pearls of Promise Foundation, through its programming and grantmaking, seeks to address societal needs in the youth and disenfranchised populations. The Foundation works to improve the lives of the populations outlined above, while also improving the surrounding communities.

Through economic stewardship efforts, funding college scholarships, youth initiatives, and presenting college readiness programs; the Foundation, with the assistance of our Community Partners, seeks to equalize access and services for under-served residents in our community. Some of the Foundation’s Programs include:

  • Economic Stewardship: To initiate and oversee programs that promote good financial stewardship practices, such as financial budgeting and planning and ensuring access to adequate resources to obtain safe, affordable housing.

  • Scholarship: Award annual college scholarships under the York County Pearls of Service Scholarship program. The Foundation aims to grant a minimum of $ 5,000 in scholarships annually.

  • College Readiness: Supporting parents and high school students by providing resources, information, and college admission assistance.
